The restoration of the iconic Bells Hotel in Woolloomooloo Sydney brings to life the headquarters of Krochet Kids International illustrating the brand’s life-long commitment to making a difference through hook and yarn. To attract new clientele through their first bricks and mortar store and establish themselves in international markets, the space has been designed to embody the spirit of the brand, telling a story of their values, their passion and their humble beginnings in Uganda, Africa.

PROJECT BRIEF

Design a new office with a combined hospitality and retail facility for an Online Retail Brand. The client is looking to widen their market reach and engage with existing and new customers. Explore design strategies to transform the way they work and engage with their clientele. The new flagship location should reflect the company's brand and ethos. The space should include a collaborative and flexible working space for staff constantly on the move, a retail area to showcase current and new products, an even space for hosting product launches as well a cafe / bar for additional revenue

The entrance to the space is an embodiment of the brands slogan to ‘meet the maker’ - a celebration of the craftsman, through a display of their works, their stories, building client trust through transparency.

Threadwork installations inspired by the client logo, spread across the retail & hospitality area. It is symbolic of the crochet thread as well as the brand’s commitment to knit together a global community.
The office space follows a human centered design approach that positively contributes to the physical, social and mental wellbeing of employees with collaborative spaces that energizes and simulates creative thinking, and quiet cozy retreats for focused working or relaxation. A design truly inspired by all things human.
